why don't you want a HR front?
i think you have to have the ball joint front for engineers
and if you want to go by the letter of the law you would still need an engineers report just for the break update

even if you keep kingpins and a grey motor

i guess they want the car to stop without pulling the car apart.
i bought a similar setup to marks but i am using hq stubs with 297mm vt twin spots

don't understand how by putting disc brakes on a car it will break it apart

especially a conversion like HR discs the cars are basically the same and it's a conversion that's been done a million times before
i got pulled up on it once before when i contacted my engineer and told him it was just for the brakes, he agreed how stupid it was that i needed an engineers report and did the report over the phone
for disc brake conversion

I don't know what the laws are like in NSW but in QLD it will have to have a mod plate done with certification of the modification and be a ball joint front end.
HR is a way better front end anyway and if you had the front end all ready to put under it would only take as long as it would to fit up new brakes
