Work has begun!
After the initial fix-up to get the RAT driveable, I haven't done any work to it as I've been having fun cruising it when I get the chance.
Now that it's winter and the rego conveniently ran out recently I decided it was time to start stripping the RAT down.
Only one pic at the moment, sorry! - this is after one morning's work, struggling with 46-year-rusted nuts and bolts.

The plan is to strip the front end down, remove the engine and replace the Y-frames if I find some good ones (fingers crossed! anyone got any they don't need?) or
extensively repair the old ones if none are forthcoming, and install a disc brake HR front end that I have lined up from Timbo (stock).

That is true, so the guy who I stole it off must be rapt. Although his stop an inch or 2 on the front gaurd....

Seems like your getting there, I can see why you were so desperate for the Y frames. Will it be back on the road for the Cruise season?
