Thanks Steve. I'll move it to the body and paint section. It can be made a sticky there.
Terry...17th March...that is weird...

...could be the day it was mixed or approved...or some special date to the person who mixed it like a birthday, anniversary or marriage...anyones guess...

Great topic, during the late 60's GMH added racetracks to the list Calder Red, Sandown Fawn, Warwick Yellow, Monza Blue, Daytona Bronze, Lakeside Green, Sebring Orange and Indy Orange, there are a few more.
My favourite GMH colour names are all from the 70's Wisteria Hysteria, Lime A Bean, Dark Ox Blood

and Y Y Yellow.

"dogs dick red".

Hey Stewart,
I think I found another colour for your "World places" category. Shalimar Blue seems to named after the Shalimar Gardens of India. Did Holden export to India?

You're onto something there for sure Andrew. I think Holden were exporting at the time to both India and Pakistan.

I've never heards of Shalimar Gardens so googled it - looks like an amazing place. Another one for 'World places' category.

Paint formula would probably have a peculiar smell and a distinct spray pattern......................
