g'day
finally got around to takin some pics of my stereo install

, kitchen reno's going on at the moment - hasnt left much time for anything else
andrews probably installed his by now anyway

installed a few systems over the years, but for this set up payed a guy to wire it all up, and I mounted all the speakers etc myself

I used a 1" spacer for the fronts

I used a 2" spacer for the fronts in our LJ

I cut a 5" hole and used stainless bowls for a pod, under the gaurd

mp3 deck mounted in the g/box

rear speakers/amp mounted on the spare wheel cover - made out of mdf and carpeted
got the idea for the speaker pods from a tilt front ek in the mannum hotrod show pics
hope this helps andrew & matty
cheers ray

thanks stinger!
iam leaning towards mounting my fronts in the doors because the trims are not original and i think they will look alot neater, aswell as being protected from kicking passenger's feet

as for the rears, i have some 6x9's so they will just replace the 6" that the previous owner put in. Its my birthday today, and i got two awesome presents:
a $1100 stereo for the fb
and a license so i can drive it

Try Ed Ho on the fefcholden.org.au site , Last I heard he was making fibreglass pods to suit the footwells in FE-EKs.
