i'd love to put chromies back on it but have you seen the price of them these days

there is a set not to far from me for sale but as with most second hand ones these days they have some rust worst part they have new tyres that aren't a size that would be suitable for me and i think the new tyres is what he's mainly basing his price on, i want to see how the steering goes also as the deeper the dish the heavier the steering also i need good highway gearing and 13s may not be highway friendly

Can you get 235s on the rear? Nankang 235/60 13 are pretty tall at 27.1” or around 686mm. I did that in my head but I think it’s right. I got them for $125 each through gledge’s mate.

not sure of diff center yet but 3.36 at best as only short bolts but it has 185x75x14s on it now and it was just under 4000 revs at 110 so to use 13s with 235x60s i'd have to find a 2.78 and possibly still to short

Not really mick. 185/75 14 is 24.9” tall, whereas 235/60 13” is 24.2”. 3.08:1 in my ute with those tyres 3000rpm@110kmh. 2000rpm@50kmh in second. Sounds great at those two speeds.

Supercheap ramps are perforated plate, though there is not much, if any, margin on the 480kg load rating:

I bought a pair for the trailer I had. Put one end up 1-brick high, and put the front wheels of the FB on them as a test. Bent the ramps. Brother-in-law reinforced them so you could load a D9 cat on them
Cheers,
Harv

Got most of the wiring done and all the underneath stuff barring the brake lines sorted.
