Maybe the rares ones are a bit pricey to turn a light on , not much can go wrong with the original ones , it's just an earth point . I'd have some at home but not there for a few weeks.

compared to what I see people selling second hand parts for I didn't think that was too bad if they last the life of the car they go in.
Or do they not work after 6 months (the linked switch)?

That's reasonable for sure but the round ends are more the period. Could always turn down some square ones and buff them up Harv.

I like the round ones mainly because they will match the front. The front ones are in, and beautifully tight... don't fancy pulling them out again. They appear to be OEM.
They are very simple internally, and the zinc plating seems to stand up well to rust. Not likely to fail.
I'm hoping Cocko has some in his spare parts department once he gets home - I'm in no rush.
Cheers,
Harv

With the visor are you looking for the brackets that attach the visor to the roof or the end brackets?

The brackets that bolt to the roof are what I need ,they have a different shape to sedans/wagons , Utes are different shape also , the side coolaride style brackets are all the same though , I can only find one of these in my bits, but the main part is the roof brackets.

Thanks for the offer Theo - appreciated.
Cocko dug through his parts collection, and sent me some (thanks again mate). I should have closed out this Parts Wanted ad... apologies.
I wired Cocko's switches in to the rear door jambs, and they work beautifully. I must be over-proud of them... my son mentioned that every time I open the rear doors, I look up to see if the dome light is working

.
Cheers,
Harv

I know the feeling. When I put sorted through the original loom and put it back into Old Timer that was the first thing I got working.

I kept open and closing the door...
