Definitely in on this one. Will there be any mechanical upgrades or mods as well or just get it reliable?
Well Stu...that would be a BIG YES!! Pete has in his shed a good 179 Red motor & 4 speed box all ready for it...as I think I can safely say that this grey is well on the way out!! :wtf:

Scotty. change the look...leave the mechanical to Pete...that's HIS domain!

Good job getting that Jalopy home (Well a gallant try anyway!) Good to see you are underway already. Smash that old gear off and drive a new one on (Cheaters way! Put a bar in the fuel pump hole, against the cam, I'm told!) Then you will have MOBILITY again.

Scotty, Brian,

If it's any use, I've got a grey motor harmonic balancer removerer and a grey motor harmonic balancer whacker-onerer that you are welcome to borrow. Not essential for the job, but handy. Let me know if you want them and I'll throw them into the post. Don't have a timing cover seal straighten-uperer through... damn things go for over $200 on eBay :( .

Cheers,
Harv (deputy apprentice timing gear fiddler).

Just got off the phone with Tony & it sounds like he has the timing gear stuff figured out, Harv. The harmonic balance is the later version so I've got the puller covered (so has Tony) , so thanks anyway mate.
But with all the 'specialist equipment' you have you should be (head honcho timing gear fiddler!). :D
