Hi Tim,
Yes the black one has self tapping screws. My reference to original paint was that it was the same paint from 1962 - it hadn't been repainted or touched up since then.
regards
Stewart

Hi Tim,
My evidence is based on conversations with a 'primary' source...my Aunty Barbara Watters, who helped Grandad choose the wagon colour, has told me that a number of accessories were fitted to the wagon prior to delivery...exterior sun visor, bonnet bird, front and rear mudflaps (not on the car anymore), interior door pull-to handles (originals went missing whilst in the 2nd or 3rd ownership), under dash parcel shelf, door scratchplates and drivers door weathershield.

Hi TIm,
Stewart
Was having a rethink at 2pm this morning whilst listening to the rain falling on our tin roof...I'm not so sure about the self tappers now as the sunvisor was already off the car when I bought it.Yes the black one has self tapping screws.

Just looked under mine again. Definitely black
I'm presuming mine has been repainted somewhere in it's lifetime, coz the end plates are white. I presume these are usually stainless or chrome?

would you be able to post a picture of your green underside sunvisor so I could get an idea of its colour as I'm trying to do a colour match for painting. From reading other posts I believe its supposed to be close to Olive Green (HQ)......anyone out there got a paint code or mixing formula for this colour?
Cheers
Craig.
