That way you can throttle steer the car and you wont need to use as much steering lock. :twisted:

Problem almost solved - I've fitted 9 inch wheels at the front so that I can now corner without hitting the spats. However the front bumper scrapes the road on a semi regular basis. Any ideas?

Fit drop spindles... upside down

Or if that's too hard, raise bumper bar...

I'd re-tighten the nut behind the wheel,,, sounds like it come loose alittle too

I have tried to re-tighten the nut behind the wheel but the thread is burred and not sure now if it's worth all the effort of spats at the front........

Just remember.... Cross threading is cheaper than loctite....

To get the correct tension without a tension wrench ... :) :) ...Tighten it till it strips then back it off 1/2 a turn ......... that should fix the nut behind the wheel .... :lol: :lol: :lol: ..fingers

or you could try hingeing them from the top,greasing the outer edge of the tyres is a must
just be carefull on roundabouts as you will have to allow a little room ...
