Don't listen to (most) guys at Repco. Just use a puller it'll cause less damage to the wheel and you're far less likely to break your own nose.

A: replace horn contact ring & wiring
B: problem with horns (but i tested them b 4, by running a wire direct from battery) & they work
C: no freaken Idea???

Is the clicking noise a relay under the bonnet or dash ? Perhaps its burnt out or the fuse is blown. Did it click when the wheel was on ?

OK - horn relayworks , that tells us 2 things - firstly , your steering wheel contacts need to be fixed , if there was no clicking using the horn ring then you are not getting an earth through there.
Secondly , you need to find the relay that is making the clicking noise and check that there is power going to the positive side of the switch contact , then get someone to earth out the horn contact so the relay energises and see if there is power out of the relay to the horn wire . If there isnt the relay is buggered , if there is you need to look at the wiring from the relay to the horn.

Great thanks Blacky.. did i mention u r a star???
Ok, just to check a few things.:
a real dumb question is, what exactly is the "horn relay"
so do you think dismantle the horn bar contact buttons & give them a good clean, or get a new set?
Petrol head??? please explain

The horn relay will be the thing doing the clicking , the relay is coming in but theres no power getting to the horn - the power will run through the relay so its either not getting power to it or the contacts inside have died or the wire from the relay to the horn is broken.
Best to get a workshop manual for the steering wheel end , they are fiddly.
