Looks like a good start for a project Davo. If you post up a pic of the ID tag we can work out its paint colour. It might be parisian lilac - from the 4th pic behind where the kick panel was - theres some colour.

Make sure when you pull it apart you do it in an organised way - use plastic ziplock bags for all the little bits and label them. As you say take lots of pics - they will help when you put it back together.

Yeah well do that still in the cleaning stage at the moment. Yeah ill take lots of pics as I do things.

well today we took most the carpet out, dont know how to remove the seats we presured washed the the floor to get most the dirt out and here is a pic of the motor (dad put diesel in it to try losen the rust off the pistons) hopfuly get the seats out when we figure out how to lol.

You've got some welding and grinding in front of you Davo. Rust - the arch enemy of our old girls needs 3 things - iron, water and oxygen...you can't do much about the first 2 but...I'd put the power washer away and try and keep the wagon as dry as possible. Sweep/vacuum all the crap out.

Yeah I know was out in the weather for awhile before we brought it so expected the floor to rusted out. Yeah I said to dad shouldn't wash the inside out and to keep it dry most The water drained out. Hopefully get The seats out this week. Then get it in The shed and start taking panels off.

took out the rear seat today. just need to clean the dirt out and take the front seat out

Looks like you'll need to replace all the floor pans when you go to weld in the transmission tunnel Davo. Are you going to get the car blasted or dipped?

At this stage not sure money is a problem. Yeah we are going to take a good look at what is going to going to needed to.replace.

Forget the newer cars for modifying Davo , spend 10gs in a VT or grange or whatever and its like dropping money into the river , spend 10g in an ek and its like recycling cash .
A build up is a very testing thing to do so work out where your heart is before going anywhere or dad will be buying the unfinished project from you cheap .

Theres been a few wagon builds in here so treat yourself to a look through the members cars section and enjoy.

yeah im a big fan of the newer holden's manly cause was brought up around vn-vt commodores. big fan of wagons to hence my daily vt wagon. we are taking it slow so nothing is rushed but i think the plan was make it a stock looking car on the outside and have a 308 v8 or 304 injected v8 under the bonnet.

Dont forget when doing the floors you'll need a bigger trans tunnel. The ones on eBay for $100 are the go as you can use standard auto carpet. As Harko said ditch the newer stuff. These old girls are like money in the bank. More so if you can do all the work yourself.

Havnt realy looked on eBay yet might do that tonight thanks. Yeah the work will be done our selfsame. And dads mate will help abit he has engine hoist and few tools we will need that I don't have yet.

well after work got around to taking the front seat out, blew out all the dirt. just draining the oil out then putting it in the shed and get it up on stands and hopefully start taking panels off will post pics of any more progress over the weekend also looked into this in the future http://www.v6conversions.com.au/FB-EK%20V8.HTM

today got the car on stands started taken the head lights out, had a look around to see how the side panels and bumper bar come off also took the front wheels off
