seeing as nobody else is posting anything go for a blue slip in 2 weeks, that's when he could get me in

anybody got any ideas for a rear screen in an EK if it were chopped want to take the curved glass out, i'm thinking some type of oval shape but i'm a bit worried it might look a bit weird (too much metal)don't really want to go with lexcan in the rear

it'll be ok in the front though

Theo Z could have the secret to the "Oval window" hidden under the "Moss" Could be worth a look Ratbox, as you said, size maybe an issue (too small).

The glass rear window can be sunk into the rear parcel tray.
Little oval windows in chopped cars of this design are a cop out. and show that the people doing the job dont know how to problem solve. So they take the easy and ugly way out.

You have owned a chopped sedan, it needs the original styled rear window.
But! you could use the three piece rear windows out of a Vauxhall PA cresta, and then you could change the rear side window profileas well.

regarding the back window idea: you could alway's try a split window kit like the ones tyou can buy for beetles, they look pretty cool, i think they're still around, been a few years since i was into the vw scene.

i don't want a small back window, and it'll be the same as my old one no streching the roof, that was one of the things that i really didn't like on the old one was how the back window came out
hope this doesn't come across the wrong way but i detest the three piece window idea, sinking in could be a good idea but don't want anything to technical time will be of the esence

the idea will be IF we do it, it will be after rego and have it done in a weekend or 2, same as old one chopped 2 door pillarless no side glass

I can not understand the idea of putting a 1930's back window in a 60's car either.

The Buick styled rear window design is a love or hate thing

Sinking the rear window is not that hard, and will hopefully give you the look you want. The window can be bonded in.
I would do it that way myself, if I was doing a chop like this.
And keeps the expendature costs down.

200 km round trip for blue slip no dramas except it sh!t a fuel pump round the corner from home on the way there spose it's better than in the middle of nowhere
