it sucks cause there's alot of wakers but try downundertruckin.com (funny that's how i had previous knowledge of bexderity
) there's a forum, and i can't beleive some of the shit they seem to get engineered, a guy that did bexdertity's car advertises on there and she reckons it is legal
alot of newcastle people on there and they all seem to chase an engineer called i think vtol

Haha...
Funny, that senile one you mentioned in PM was the exact one i called....
Cheers for the advice guys, i am re-inspired to call a few more again...
Not too much progress on beast lately... Picked up all the new glass a few weeks ago and its booked in for the interior in around a months time...
Am going to move the filler back out of the boot to the original location although i have a very trick filler unit...
As for bike, it was off the road for a while.. the nitrous blew a seal in the crankcase so had to order a new seal and stuff around with it for a while... all going sweet now though, put a few miles on it over the glorious weekend..
Have a couple of weeks holidays as of next wednesday so will hopefully get a bit done then...
Hey matty, your wagon is looking smooth and creamy......

hey paul, when i got my car engineered up there 11 years ago it was just the same, as soon as i mentoned that i cut the tunnel to fit another gearbox they were not interested, some of these guys dont deal with old holdens or even cars very often, probably half off 48 to ej holdens have had the tunnel cut and modified somewere, just wondering, did the place that did your bags and tunnel know the car was going through a engineer, do they know a engineer, they might have one they are getting cars done through that has experience with these.
my car was a basic common conversion, HR front end, all synchro, HR rear and a red motor, i made about 6 calls till i found one who knew what he was talking about, he straight way rattled of the requirements i was fimiliar with like electric wipers, seatbelts and demister, the rest kinda freaked out about the modifications.
If you remember the heagneys that i used to hang out with, who all had hydrulics, they had to reinforce the large holes cut, seal around any hoses going through the body and the switch had to be wired in a way that they could only function when the car was parked to be legally approved.

At the time i did the bags i was going to try and get away with not engineering it.. i just kind of told him i wanted it as low as possible... he did exactly that.. i was happy...
Am gonna try that Kevin Humphries guy and see what he says..
I have a couple of weeks off work now so am hopefully gonna get it sorted...
Yeah i remember the heagneys, he was driving an ej wagon last time i saw him.. that LTD was a pretty cool car back in its day hey...

Guys,
Just remember drive a car not engineered and you will have no insurance when things go wrong!
Have a crash and cause any damage and you will pay for it.
Have a crash and kill someone then look out. I dont understand why anyone would take the risk ( I certainly wouldn't ).
Keep searching and hopefully someone will do it right then you can have peace of mind. You know cruising is no fun when your knuckles are always white!
Regards Greg

i rang my engineer today for you and he asked if they were fitted with input from an engineer or not? if not take some photo's and drawings of how it was done and he can let you know if it's been done in the right way and anything you need to do for rego, but he said there is a fair bit of leeway on doing this to an ek so i'd say he'll pass it. seeing as though your car has been done to such a respectable standard he wouldn't think you'd shortcut anything.
i'll pm you my number so we can chat further on this.
hope it helps,
Luke
