EK001,

Have a look on the homepage here www.rta.nsw.gov.au and in the top right corner in the search bar type in "engineering signatories" and it will take you to VSI 15 Engineering Signatories that are approved by the RTA here in NSW.

There is a list of 4 servicing Newcastle and surrounds. The one I have spoken to is Don Mackay ph 4957 3697 and he has been doing it since at least 1985 that I know of so he should know our FB/EK's well by now I'd say.He seems OK to deal with.

There is one at Cardiff I won't go to again (without saying too much about it).

Hope that helps,

Terry.

hey how did you go about your accelerator cable setup?

I'm having troubles with mine... its all setup nicely but barely any travel at all.... do i need some sort of hinged/spring setup (like in newer model cars)??? :x

i haven't gotten to the accelerator pedal yet but i have a pedal cut out of a commodore for it .... i know vb-vk have the right pedal, you screw the pivot to the floor and then heat and bend the shaft to suit where you need it to go etc and they work really well.

i had one in my EK and thats why i'm sticking with the same thing for the FB.

I did once see them on sale at rare spares so they might be an option too.

A VN pedal works well , three self tappers and its in , just pull the linkage off the bracket and flip it to the other side and it will allow the bracket to be screwed to the angled part of your floor/firewall

havent had much luck with engineers yet... spoke to one and as soon as i mentioned slightly modifying the chassis rails he didnt want to know about it really..
His recommendation was "remove the entire air suspension system and return to stock".......

Needless to say, i am still trying to find an engineer....
