What a resto Kingaz
I like chrome rings on black steelies.
I'm thinking yellow would look better than the ol' blue on mine too.
I'm keen to have a start - hope it isn't as long!
thinking of white roof though.
keep it going!

I had a day off a few weeks back so i decided to take the ute to my mechanics to go over it to see what needed to be done for the roady....lol big mistake

I went to collect her and was handed a double sided list of over 40 points to correct

So the task was on to tackle the list one by one.. many of the items were very basic common sense items so they were easy to get out the way.

Tailgate is complete everything bolted on completing the wiring this weekend plus a few little surprises then back to get re assesed

HR front end should arrive on the weekend ready for the disk brake upgrade

Ill get some pictures this weekend just been too busy to take any progress photos

ek ute- The rims will be painted tuscany yellow the black was a very quick slap dash job as HR rims to suit the disks will now be going on

Andy - Andy andy andy... plenty more EKs for us to look at for a project for you just a matter of timing will need your help with some of the wiring this weekend

Mr Steve Jackson - Timeframe went from All Holden Day to now the deadline of the Nationals.. as you can see still not on the road but very very close 1-2 months, just improving the drivability now. The nationals will be a great opportunity for some photos with yours and Waynes utes as you know i love my photos

Steve bad news looks like the ute wont be ready for the Nats had nothing but dramas over the past few months...the joys of working with 47 year old parts.

Ive taken a break from the build mainly due to frustration. I had taken a week off in march to finish the ute and get it on the road heres what happened in 5 days

Monday - brought all parts i needed
Tuesday - Had to replace the clutch slave... however clutch was still not bleeding correctly.... leaking master replaced
Wednesday - Bled clutch all ok then..... clutch weakened checked slave.. only to realise clutch fork had snapped in half $%&@#$
Thursday - Attempted to remove the gearbox however top drivers side bolt would not budge debated taking motor and box out... decisions decisions
Friday - sulked about my week of doing nothing

Result - Thought it was best to have a break, conceeded that it would not be finished by the nats

This weekend removing the inspection plate in the floor to remove top bolt new clutch will be put in while changing the clutch fork.

HR front end brought and pieces collected for reconditioning

So not much has happened but will try and get motivated this weekend coming to atleast take the box out, once my Rudd dollars come the HR front will be ready to drop in, On the plus side got the Torrie back on the road finally......

Progress to come soon
