Going to be awesome Greg. Heard nothing but good things. Biggest issue I’ve heard is sorting out in-tank pump, which you’ve done. Nice welding by the way!

Hi Clay,
I can't take the credit for the welding as the tank was made by a fabricator here in Sydney. Top bloke did exactly what i asked and the welds are superb i agree !
Funny, I've lost a bit of zest lately and find it hard to go to the shed, heat wave last week and now cold again !

Wow,
I dont seem to have the time of late but there is some progress.
Made a new filler neck, its in your face a bit but I'll eventually box it in with an area either for some tools to sit or I may relocate the battery just behind it. Really no issue as the car wont see any big boot loads, not while i have it anyway !

Going to move the exhaust inbound and along the tank as well, spring hits them on big bumps, very annoying.

Raptor coated just to blend it in a little, subtle changes you see !!

Good progress Greg. I was thinking about using the Raptor coating for the underside of my van.

The Raptor is 2 part and you can get it tintable, that’s what I did,
Had some left over paint called clinker grey but it looks black.
It’s pretty simple to use, goes off to touch in an hour.
Tip, it needs two coats so mix only enough before you recoat, otherwise half a tin in the bin then start with a new one !!!!!

Thanks Greg. 2k= tough. I'm thinking about 2k urethane on the van, probably in a solid colour. Bit of a way off yet, heh, heh...

Bloody hell, i want to drive this thing !!
Tank in and the drivers side exhaust done, much better this way heaps of clearance and the springs can move freely without the clanging !!

I have to change a couple of fuel line fittings then wire the computer, dizzy and ignition up, all plug in but I want it neat so more time.
I'm gonna drive it a bit after these mods, no more for a while.

And you're going to relocate the passenger side pipe.....
Good work. Beats cutting rear quarters off an FB van.

Hi Greg are you going to have to wrap the pipe beside the fuel tank? how much heat do you get there?

Hi Neil,
No im not a fan of heat wrap, it attracts moisture and rusts your pipes quicker than you can imagine,
There is more than an inch between them, I will measure temps when i get it going,
Absolute worst case a heat shield but i doubt the temp at the tail pipes will be an issue.

Top job Greg! I love the pipes exiting straight and inboard like that. Still room for the towbar mate??
Bet the right foot is getting itchy now...
