I have heated pipes in the past and jacked them around to fettle them into place - they are thin walled and easy to manipulate.

Yeah the extractors hitting the block doesn’t look good in the photo at all.

Will be a job for after the ‘Muppet’ gets back from the auto sparky.

High chance I will pull the donk and go back to factory on the oil piping just to give me a base line on what the old girl is doing with its lubrication.

Auto Sparky asked me how I want the engine bay wires and the wires to the back of the car placed and for the life of me I can’t remember how it all ran!
Don’t even have photos of it!

If anyone has photos of the wire loom routing in the engine bay it would be handy.

Also the wiring loom that runs to back of the car.
Can’t remember if it ran under the scuff plates or under the carpet.

Cables to rear are under the scuff plates, the engine bay wiring is pretty simple, are you going for the factory look or just tidy ? I can take a pic of the engine bay in the ute if you like , but there's a good chance Google will have a decent pic or 3

Just had a weird experience with the car.

Changed the plugs to BP-4 which is a bit hotter than the BP-5, I did this because my motor is higher compression than standard.

I also topped it up with 91 fuel.

Geez it ran like a bucket of shit.

Drained the fuel and topped up with 98.

Still ran like shit.

Changed back to the BP-5 plugs.

Still running like shit.

Anyone got any ideas why it would go from running perfectly to an absolute bucket?

I also just realised I didn’t have the earth terminal tight.

Paul Calder did say if it’s not earth well it will fry the ignition module.

Do these Ignition modules die completely or can they still work and run like a bag of shit if damaged?

It’s a Bosch BIM024

Don't know about this module specifically but they can cause the symptoms you have ... at less than $100 would be worth getting another one (and if it's not the cause you'd have one for the spares box)

P.S. usually I think of electrical as go or no go and fuel problems for running rough for initial analysis; but ignition modules can give similar symptoms

Do you have a standard dizzy you could fit to compare?
