As the title says..........
Coming home from the club meeting last night I only realised when I was near home (15km trip) that I'd left the handbrake on.
There wasnt any noticeable drag when I was driving, so it was hard to tell. Though I could sure smell it when I got home.
Apart from my pride, would I have damaged anything?

Not really, but you may need to adjust the rear brakes as they are likely to have worn down a little.....

The handbrake wasn't at it's best before the episode.
Now it's got no handbrake at all

Keep a house brick on the floor in the car ................
It'll work better than the Holden hand brake.......
I can't think what to write here so this will do.

Yo....
I find an "inlne" floor shifter ( impala shift) that has been poorly adjusted provides a perfect handbrake.
Ripping the shifter from first to second gear....Not quite out of first while it is selecting second gear... end result..??... gearbox gets all confused...locks up and ya skid to a stop...... or... gearbox explodes.
Leaving the handbrake on and driving .. especially at night.. yup.. i think we are all guilty of it at some stage. Brake shoes glazed !!!... whip the drums off and give the shoes a good scuff up.. hey.. it works .. sometimes.
I know they are rare but .. an EH Prem "Handbrake on" red flashing lamp mounted through the dashdown near the handbrake lever would be a wise installation
