Post by 62ute »

hi guys n gals,
just had a search through your archives lookin for an answer but cant find it, so ill ask

just strippin down the ek ute for a a bit of rust luvin,
its the first car ive found where you can take the whole top off the plenum chamber, what a fantastic idea, more cars should be like this.

anyway do i really need to remove the windscreen or can i be slack and just remove the chrome from around the windscreen, does that chrome come out easily or do i really need to remove the screen..

nope, windscreen out unfortunately. the chrome (stainless) acts as a bead to hold the window and seal in. just be warned...putting them back in sucks!

You can pull out the stainless strip around the screen with out pulling the screen out, but it will be all bent out of shape and unusable  , I've done it  , Trev 8) .
