I never had a welder in my youth,and my brothers 105e anglia van needed some patches ,so i pop riveted some copper in its place
and I thought I was doing a good job :shock:

Thanks all...I guess most would go "ARRRGGGHHH" when finding rust like this..but somehow I quite like finding it as it gives me a feeling of fixing it and knowing that what I'm driving is structurally sound. :wink: :D
I'm forcing myself into doing this rust repair first before I get into the fun custom stuff (plus it gets my welding back up to scratch).. :lol:

Here's the finished item on the passengers side front sill..
Almost looks like an original! :wink:
The inner sill was worse than I thought but after many a cutting & bending I fixed the bloody thing..

..now just fix the small bits on the guard today (& attach the frenched ariel ) to the guard..then back together and finish the driver's side sill...then on to the fun stuff :twisted:

Well finished the rust on the top 'n' bottom of the guard & filled the old antenna hole and stuck in the frenched one. :twisted:

It does have drain holes for when it rains or you wash it doesn't it scotty?
