Only legal in his State, as I said before....All depends if the Officer or inspector has had a shit of a day as to what mood there in.
If your a smartarse, they'll defect a brand new car if they see fit, just to make it a pain for you to get it cleared.

NSW says no tubs     No engine greater than 327 normally aspirated as well

You know state rules are just plain dumb. If Gary drives his vehicle down South whats the difference if its registered up North???
He Still has to be careful so Not really, it can be still defected here in NSW, even if its regoed in another state........it all depends on how nice the authorities want to be.

Regards John

I once got defected in Victoria for my XD being too loud. Mind you, it would've copped a defect in NSW too

I had the exhaust dumping straight out of the mufflers - no tailpipe

Worst part was I was leaving for Sydney the next day, so I had to get a tailpipe put on and get the defect removed before I left.

if the vehicle is built to the current code of practice, rego in WA is no problems. my ute went over nearly first time....4dB tooooo loud from the exhaust???? but apart from that lic with 350 no drama. All the info is on the web.

I think you should send your EK down for your son to drive whilst at Curtin. On the odd occasion that I have taken my FB to Curtin, it has been well received by both staff and students
