FB Special - Sedan - "Colleen Green + Reef Green"

Post by CHO576 »

Hi everyone,

Here are some recent pics of my FB Special sedan.

She has been in storage for 10years now, so it was a real treat to have her registered again and back out on the road!

She is completely stock all round.

Cheers,
Jamie

Very nice. Beautiful colour combination.

How long have you had it?

thanks Cal ...

I've had her for 20 years now ...

I like the green combo as well - but I reckon that most of us are probably pretty biased towards whatever colour FB/EK that we already own :) Having said that though, I've always had a soft spot for Pink/Salmon type colours. Actually, there are heaps of colour combos that I really like / would be more than happy to own ...

Hey Cho, wicked color combo. Bet it feels good to have her on the road again. Has it got the spats on it now, or were those earlier pics? Eather way, looks COOL. 8)

I'd rather drive something made of metal, not plastic!

Sensational CHO576, it must be nice to be able to store such a nice car rather than flog it off :D , Trev 8) .

Thanks fella's ...

Its been a looongg time coming getting my old girl back on the road. I think that the only thing that kept me motivated during this time was seeing all the cool pics and hearing stories of other forum members cars. Just glad that i can finally share mine ...

I thought the pic in front of the house was appropriate  it's my father-in-laws house, and it's like stepping into a time-warp. Nothing has been done to the house since the day it was built in the mid/late 50's - a perfect home for my FB !

Stewart - yes mate, it was a while ago now ... 4 years to be exact! I had good intentions of getting her back on the road back then, but babies + house renovations came along and the car had to take a lower priority at the time ...

I'm going for the full "grandpa" look and as original as possible. So any help that I can get off knowledgeable people here would be most appreciated :) Spats are staying on. Got a set of Portawalls and a Sunvisor that are both ready to be fitted.

Interior .... trim is 'mawson grey' from memory with a grey fleck. It's got black carpet at the moment - will be looking to upgrade to a set of rubber floor mats as soon as the budget allows (anyone interested in the carpet drop me a pm).

Cheers,
Jamie.
