Hi all,
Probably a long shot, but I will ask.
Currently in the EK Standard sedan, I have a red 186 with a trimatic on a HR Front end. Currently I can't run an engine fan as I have less then half an inch between the pulley and radiator.
I am going to pull the motor out to clean a few things up (rear main seal and other oil leaks).
I have another HR X member that I can put in the car and that still has the original HR mounts on it that hang over the side.
Here's the question.
Was wondering if anyone has or could make a template of the location of the engine mounts for the 186 on a HR front end. If I had a template I could relocate the mounts on the X member.
I am looking at trying to get the head of the motor closer to the firewall.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Cheers
Jason

Whoops, I just typed a lengthy reply and submitted only to realise you asked for HR front end engine mount position.
My reply was for engine mount position for kingpin front end with red motor.
Best to do a dummy fit of the engine to find the best engine locating position for clearance and tack weld mounts in position, remove engine, reweld mounts properly and refit the engine.
That way the engine is in a position where you are most happy with.

I can't think what to write here so this will do.

Thanks for the replies guys.
This is how the red motor looks currently in the EK

Its just to damn close to the Radiator, It has a HT radiator in it, I am changing that to a HQ but, I presume the both are the same size when it comes to going towards the motor (thickness)
Cheers

Cut the shroud so that the rad sits under the support panel and protrudes towards the grill more.fxfjholden.com wrote:Thanks for the replies guys.
