when you planning on going out mate.

i don't mind going for a drive for car parts mate :D

pm me with details of when you going and you number and i'll give you a call

heres the worst of it - have you got a good section or have you got some pieces they may make this easier they reforming it all out of sheet metal and setting me back a few weeks/months the rest is quite easy

MR Nomad,
It would be nearly impossible for you to find a good section for replacement and if you did the subframe that has a good rust free section would probably be better than yours. I have had the same problem but what I did was use the drivers side section (no battery no rust). Its not an exact fit but very close and with a bit of work I have made it fit pretty well. I will take a photo of it today. The other option is to make a complete new inner but that is a s*?& load of work and probably not worth it.

I have access to a rotten ute in Bakers Hill that has had a bonnet on it forever so it may have a resonable donor section, I know the rest of it is pretty well rooted so if it has it would not be a waste to cut it up. I will check it out next time I am there and give you a shout if it is any good.

NoMAD, I have finally dragged the donor car home , the left side is completely cactus but the right hand side appears to be O.K.
I am going away for work for a bloody change this week but will be home over Easter. There are a couple of wrecks where I am going, will check them out for the bit you need. :D
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Rusty Floors

Post by NoMAD »

Updates, updates, updates...

Not really!

Been fixing rust in the rear floors looks like a patch quilt at the moment!

Been trying to get the floor down to get the chassis kit bolted/welded in, so i can then trial fit the 186/TH700 and then worry about fitting up the Turbo for Firewall Mods! - Geez it sounds easy that way!

hopefully some fresh pics in a week or 2!

Cheers
