Rust repairs - Panel Beaters Melbourne?

Post by vamped »

Hi all, long time site reader... first time post!

Recently purchased an EK special sedan - he has some (surprise!) rust and needs a bit of TLC. Rust is in the body where the sub-frame mounts to body/sub-frame.

I am looking for a reliable panel repair shop, east Melbourne. Any help and/or recommendations are gratefully accepted!!!!

Hey Vamped. Theres a panel shop that I pass acouple of times a week that always have an old car or two sitting out the front. Devilrod has also recommended them on previous posts. Gollings Panel Repairs, 17 Jarrah dve in Braeside. Phone-95801973. Give them a try.

Cameron and Mick are very good at what they do, although sometimes they take a little longer than planned. But its well worth it.

They were indeed very helpful & lovely guys - tho may not be able to do the work for some time as they are very busy.

I am a bit desperate, and want to get my car on the road. I recently bought it from WA and need to get some rust repairs done ASAP for rego. (it is the pink one that was listed on here a while ago!)

If there are any other people/places anyone can recommend, I'd be very very grateful....

Hi Vamped,
I am not really the best person to give advice on paint / panel. Having only really been the full respray resto once..

But all my research, reading and generaly talking to people helped me form the opnion that if you find a good shop that do good work at a good price it pays to wait.. They are most likly busy for a reason.

But good luck in which ever way you decide to go..

and welcome to the site.. :D :D 8) 8)

They do have a very good reputation which does indeed keep them busy.

Um... yep:

Not original colour, it seems to have been a few colours. Was originally parisian lilac, it seems to have also been mint green then black and white in various stages of his life... Probably going for a complete respray, super shiny black.
