EK Special Fender " 3 Ticks"

I just noticed that the "3 ticks" on the fender next to the Special badge are handed.

There is one end thinner than the other :?

When I got the car these were alredy removed.

Which way up do they go :?:
My 6yr old daughter said
"Dad your car's looking great! Which end is the front?"

id say thick end to the top to account for the role in the fenders. This will make them look plumb
