Has anyone ever run air shocks in the front of an FB or EK?
The reason I ask is that my tyres rub on the guards a little too often when cornering with a passenger in the front seat.
I was wondering if I could rig up a compressor and air shocks to lift the front 20mm or so to help with the rubbing, and then let it back down when its just my skinny bum in the front?
Cheers
Andrew

Andrew,
I haven't heard of anyone fitting them to the front.... but - beware.....!
I remember when air shocks came onto the market - the usual "hype" amongst young chaps at the time was they were the way to go.....but...
They fitted a single air supply line linking both shocks...... a big no - no !
Many vehicles were rolled due to this - the air pressure on the side under load was in fact "lifting" the other air shock..... and presto .... up she goes...
I'd check with your roads department before fitting them to the front... I can't see from here how it would but - I don't how they would impact on the torsion bar using different pressure (under load) - probably not at all..... I'm just trying to think outside the square....... and will be interested should you chase this up with the authorities......
