hey smooth i guess i'm nearly a guru on this flat paint thing, if i'm doing flat black i use black primer but it is getting harder to get and i use it over existing paint, my next option would be black paint with flattening base added as this is what i use with flat colours ie my flat blue EK and my previous flat purple FC, don't use GMH black as it goes streaky after a short while, flattening base you have to play around with a bit to get the look yor after depending on brands, to much can make the colour look to flat almost powdery doesn't seem to affect the wear though hope this helps
P.S i realy don't think i would flat black the wagon i mean that's what i'm into and all but i just think it's too good a car to do it to next you'll be putting in a red motor
