Ride height for rego

Post by LYNCHPIN »

Hi All,

Just wondering what sort of height you are able to get away with when trying to get full reg on these cars. A mate who is an ex mechanic thinks i might have issues with the height of the wagon??

Any help would be appreciated

Cheers Paul

not sure on vic rules but nsw and qld is lowest point of car can be no lower than 100mm. that includes hoses ect (i found out the hard way, had the overflow hose on my hz tonner 90mm from the road and got a defect even though i fixed it up as soon as the cop showed me (must have been having a bad day))

In Vic I think you'll find its no lower than 100mm and must have 2/3 clearance to bump stops. Good luck.

From recent experience, I got my HK regoed, and the extent of the check was, engine number and chassis number and thanks for coming   , I recon if I got a roadworthy on my EK they would pass that no worries with no engineers certificate, Trev 8) .

Well as from august you'll likely need an engineers certificate for almost anything ....

see this article http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/newsevents/do ... rhoons.pdf
