Bonnet badge removal

Post by Eeek »

I have an EEEK, and have bought a good replacement bonnet. I tried to remove the "HOLDEN" lettering but broke one of the pins on the back removing it. How do you remove without breaking them? I also had to retrieve a couple of tools from over the neighbours fence after breaking the badge!!!!!!!!!! :x

Try to push them out from the back of the pins.

I used a pair of long nose pliers
and from behind each letter,
twisted the little retainer clips off.
didnt need to use a great deal of force this way.
If you come across any stuborn ones
try to spread the clip open a bit
you can reshape them when there off.
once you realize how soft these badges are
youll know its a bit of a delicate task.
Goodluck!
