whistling noise under the bonnet

Hi fellow FB EK lovers.
My problem is when I am driving EK 138 grey above 60kms p/h and take my foot off the accelerator I hear a whistling noise coming from under the bonnet, when I accelerate it disappears.
I have changed the solid vaccume line to the dizzy but hasn't fixed the whistle.
Any idea's would be appreciated.

I have been having the same problem in my jappa daily driver, I just tightened up the intake manifold and after a short drive it seems to have gone away, not sure if its the same sorta thing or not, hope this helps

U havent been through any road works lately have you?
once u get one of them lolypop guys under the grill there a bugger to get out

HA Ha haven't looked for the lolly pop man however he may be in the diff.
Intake manafold may be the next place to look as it only stared on a continuos 55 60mph run to the Gold coast.

Also check that the nuts holding the carby to the manifold are tight.
A vacuum leak will cause a whistle.

Probably whistling because it doesn't know the words.

Mable has that, but its the steel timing gear.

I once had a piece of electrical tape on a tyre once, drove me mad till I found it.

intake or exaust manifolds I think?

Thanks for all advise.
Found the base plate of the carby was cracked and a peice missing where one the lock down nuts go it have blown a peice of the gasket out.
