Hi Smooth,
regards
Stewart
Can't help you with that one. From what I can tell it doesn't serve any practical purpose. It's been on the FB ever since I have known the car.I have to ask you then, what is the black rubber at the dash/steering column?
regards
Stewart

Sorry Stingray I didnt realise you had to be a member to access. STINKY is also a member on this forum and a moderator on the FC forum. If you ask him nice he may put the link up here for you as at the end of the day we all are in the same boat with these models as they are practically the same!!!! I posted as it actually has dimensions for certain spots for it to go, cheers

Bit the bullet
Bit the bullet and mounted my Nasco doorpull-to's today

Thanks for the great advice
and willingness to help from all who posted.
Its comforting to know that a lot of the info given on this site
is not known to everybody,is not in books/manuals,and comes from
years of experience.
So I guess you could say its priceless!
Any how went with the mounting points in the first few pics,
which is actually central on the front doors, and on the rears
i fitted them in the same position as the fronts-in relation to
the door release handle.which is not central on the rears.
I have seen the rear doorpull-tos mounted further back.
But being as there is no right or wrong position
I went with most practical position-for closing door
