v8ek for us

Post by Malcolm »

Mate,

The car is looking nothing short of breath taking. I can imagine your thinking along the same lines as I was this time last year, so little time, still so many things to do.

The car is a credit to you and I wish you all the best with it . I only wish I could be at the NATS to see it in the flesh.

Cheers

Mal

v8ek for us

Post by Malcolm »

Trev & Scotty,

It was my intention to be there but moving town, house & jobs have put a big hault on things.
I even started holidays today for 3 weeks for the event but the shit hit the fan today after taking the Mustang out for a run, splitting a fuel hose and ending in an engine bay fire on the side of the road. Totally destroyed the engine bay, wiring everything. Burnt the paint on the underside of the body back to the side of the transmission tunnel.
Thankfully I had enough time to grap the fire extingusher and put it out. And if it wasn't for another person that stopped and used his extinguisher also it would be nothing but a chared heap on the side of the road.

Anyway sorry for hijacking the post
But make sure you have an extingusher in ya car.

Funny you say that, it was just yesterday that I saw the Supercheap catalogue 2 for the price of 1 fire extinguisher deal and thought, man, the FB is no race car, but it sure would benefit from a fire extinguisher.

Sorry to hear about the Mustang. I have always liked the pictures of that car.

I would presume it was insured?

Pitty your not coming down Mal, would of been good to catch up for a chat, and to see the Yellow Terra again.
Sorry to hear about the Muzzie, but you'll no doubt get her back to pristine nick again.

How's your other project coming along. You haven't posted for a while, and surely all your gardens must be done by now.
