Fuel Type
Fuel Type
I was just wondering what fuel you guys are running in your grey motors. I bought a Fb sedan a few months ago and are trying to put it back together. I have drained the tank because it's been sitting around for years. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Must make me seem odd then. I run the Ethanol Blend sold at Apco Servos in both the EK and my Hot Rod. The one I run is a 95 - 96 Octane as opposed to regular unleaded at 91 and its nearly what premium is (98) plus its 4cents a litre cheaper than regular unleaded. Both cars have never run better. I occassionly add an additive and I do mean occassionally
I noticed it more in the hotrod as the first time I ran it there was an audible change in the exhaust and it definitely ran smoother. I also get good economy in the EK and I've been running the stuff for over 2 years now with no problems at all. Well one while away a year ago I put in a tank of regular unleaded and it didn't like that at all
.
But remember it also comes down to what was in the tank when you last tuned your car as to how well it will run.

Speed and Style........... One day I'll get the speed bit.
I'm in the same boat as Devilrod in that I always use 95 octane E10 whenever I can and that is in ALL cars I've owned since E10 came out.
Some E10 being sold is only 91 octane ( same as regular unleaded ) so I avoid 91 octane fuel if I can.
I've NEVER had a problem with E10 95 octane at all.My XR8 Flacon Sprint loves it and never pings on it at all ( pings bad on 91 ULP ).
Can really notice E10 95 is better than ULP especially when towing .

I can't think what to write here so this will do.
