found a few FB's and EK's (all for sale) while looking at FJ

Post by fxfjholden.com »

All,

Out looking for FJ's and other cars, this guys had heaps of old cars. All his cars are for sale. Here is the FB and EK portion of them. Some are OK and some are so so. Prices range from $1000 to $7000 for the painted ute I think.

I have nothing to do with the sale (dont even know the guy) but if anyone is interested I can get you his number. He did say they will go eBay in the next few weeks.

All cars are in Victoria.

Jacko (Steve) I took photos of all the ID tags I will either post them up on here somewhere or email them to you.

Enjoy.

Jason

Is his name Laurie ? I have a mate going over there this week to look at a car for me - looks like the same place. His prices are a bit steep - how negotiable is he ?
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Blacky,

Yep thats him, yeah his prices are a bit steep, We were looking at a 38 buick and he wont budge on price.

I spent an hour with him and found him OK after I built some sort of trust with him.

He doesnt really know much about the earlier Holdens his love is the HD and HR Holden's.

Which car are you interested in?

The `46 Buick - he wants 5 for it but theres a fully restored one on Ebay for 21 so I reckon 5 is a bit unrealistic.

He might even sell some if he asks reasonable money for it - he had 11 cars on Ebay last week and didnt get a bid on any of them

Most of his cars start at about 3K.

He trys to sell most cars for around 7K.

I know my FX and FJ's well and he had a FX ute there he wanted 7K for it, I think even in todays market it is only worth 3K.

People like him will make a $$$ on ebay, but not likely from enthusiasts like us.

If anything I just wanted to share the pics.
