Bit more done, rust on front is repaired and back in place. Give everything a good coat of fishoil and then a few coats of underbody deadner before and after assembly. Next is to trim the front for the Aussie desert cooler radiator. Got an idea for the firewall too  .

Gary,

What in the hell is in the water up there. The pace your going is Olympic stuff.

Love the console and progress is moving along sweetly. Seems like your in a hurry for one place, and that sounds like Bendigo

Keep it up Mate she'll be a sweet ride. Some nice ideas you've thrown in there too, originality to me is what it makes it stand out from the car next to you...

Good Stuff

John

Thanks John and Billy, Billy I have a few ideas for the radiator mount and position, will post up heaps of pics when I have decided which way to go.

Trial fit of diff with wheels bolted to check width and position Coilover shock mounts (sitting on the floor), also measuring for the Watts link, thanks for the comments guys re: watts link vs Panard, help me make my mind up .... all fits good so far :D .

Now that the front is back on I can also fab the front chassis members.......

The only reason for time is so everything dosen't happen at once.

So sad ... but sooo true, I did my apprentership at the "NT Brewery" when a "Darwin Stubby" was a Darwin Stubby full of good old NT Draught brewed in Darwin........... those were the days.....explains alot too

J......you don't get it down, you raise the shed floor up to the car

Billy Blackarrow, I have done the radiator set up today and very happy with the result (after some %$&*^%#!!). I have gained 90mm and can still get the A/C condensor in, the thermos sit in the engine bay and there is now plenty of room for them. I had to do some cutting and shutting on the bonnet (latch brace) and Bonnet catch to get it all to work as per original design ..... but it works and come out ok, I will probably plate off the "new" bonnet latch bracket (not sure yet).

Original plan was to put radiator behind the brace ....... not so good for room

Thought I would try it at the front, had to deal with bonnet latch, etc........

"Original" bonnet brace:

Cut out most of brace but left enough to hold its original shape, then fabed new sections and welded in before cutting out the last bits of the old brace.

Trial fit to see it it all clears:
