3 day trip to bendigo
Hi All, ive been talking to a few people regarding doing a 3 day trip to Bendigo from Sydney.
The first way we could go is down the coast staying around the bega area (420k's) then the next night would be around Sale area.
Then through Melbourne onto Bendigo(369k's) Picking up Melbourne club members on the way...
The other way is to junee on the first night(410k's)
Then to echuca(380k's) and spend most of the day around echuca .Then of to Bendigo(90k's)
This is just a guide we can go anyway and stop anywhere..Just putting the feelers out there to see if any interest in the idea..
Cheers Mark

You may have trouble with accommodation around Echuca that week, there is a big festival on the same weekend. Would be a good place to spend a few hours before heading down on Friday, but you may have to stay out of town a fair bit the night before, Trev

Going down the Prince's Highway along the coast is nice ..but be warned... the road surface from Nowra down gets pretty iffy. Don't drive any very low or bagged cars...you'll be sorryyyy
. i know this because I live here so do other forum members. If you like to just cruise at a normal pace it'll be bumpy but O.K.

you could come up from bega to nimatabil at the top of the brown mountain ,, and from there go through bombala to cannriver its a very nice road and some pristine country ,, i used to cart cow hides to rosedale [ near sale] from brisbane and run down through there as it was a sweet drive even in a semi,, id go through canberra to cooma then nimatabil bombala or down coast to bega, and up ,,,,if you never done south east vic you shoud as its very pretty,, of coursre it can be cold in june ,,,,,,,,,but ive woke up in bendigo with snow on me truck too,,so bring warm socks,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and rum
it is fairly remote country so you wouldnt want a car that you dont have faith in ,,cause its pretty cause there aint to many people,,,
