V8EK4us wrote:Hi Sammy, that's it ..... just unscrew the cap on top and pour in the sand/garnet (kit includes a funnel) and connect the air (I have a compressor that only puts out around 6/8cfm, running at 60-100psi and it does the job, a larger cfm compressor would make the setup awesome (have to stop and start to let the compressor keep up but it still does ok), would recommend it, saves alot of work, like in the hard to get at spots were the wire wheel on the grinder doesn't fit 8) . I used a selection of tools to do the cleaning/prep work;
Grinder with wire wheel
drill with 2 sizes of wire brush (long brushes, not round like the grinder)
scrapers
Sand blaster with garnet

8) 8)
sweet as, thanks!

stay tuned in the future you might see a pic of my car in the shed with one of these in the background :)
Regards,

Sammy.

Plugging along .... abit more progress and very close to finishing all the under body work (nearly  ). Had to pre and paint it as the humidity up here really gets the rust going quick if you don't seal it off       .

Kingaz - cheers mate, if you want a "new" grey to replace you "old" one I have one that was only driven on Sundays by an old lady

All closed in with no more big holes (except for where the Alloy drop tank is going 8) )

Things to do ...... mmmmm
1/ Fab and fit replacement crossmembers in front of rear arches.
2/ fit centre mounted handbrake.
3/ fab and install last box section rail (to support fuel tank).
4/ fab and fit Gearbox mount.
5/ fit 4 link rear end, and maybe relocate shock mounts.
6/ fab and fit exhaust mounts and heat insulation plates.
7/ fab and fit tailshaft hoop.
8/ fab and fit fuel pump mounts.
plus other that I will find    Like taking the bloody bump rubbers off!!
See....... I said I was nearly done

Plugging along is an understatement. Man I wish I had the space you do! Not to mention some of the tools. Don't stop though Bendigo will be here before you know it! Great progress by the way.

Thanks DR and ekdave1962. Dave I got the carport/tent from Supercheap Autos (about $220), it is worth every cent (as a blast/spray booth 8) 8) - as a carport to protect your car outside    )

I did that a few times during the buildup of my EK, it helps motivate and keeps things going in the right direction.
