guys i have two different gearsticks i am hoping to fit one of them up to my fb running standard 3 speed box behind a 179 i am leaning towards the speco but do any of u know if the impala shifter i have is a straight shift or h pattern.and if they dont fit id say they will be up for sale .

The bottom shifter looks like its to suit a later model gearbox to me.
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

I would stick with the collum shift, having done a floor shift myself (auto), mutch neeter on the collum. IMHO :wink: .

Neither of those shifters are straight line impalas, the first looks like the old non sincro H pattern and the other the full sincro H pattern.
Straight line impalas are awesome, they do need to be adjusted properly though and sometimes need two hands to select first.

so hemi whats the verdict, will it fit the fb box .and trev did u have problems with the straight shift and if so what were they both these shifters look like they have the same fittings where they fix to the box
