AS u say im building for me not the value but its nice to know that least insurance companys will pay a fair price ..

hmm what did your cost to insure if its not a rude question ..

hi guys, things have slowed a little now winter is here and she an out door renow well in the carport ..

i contacted rares to day about a left upper rust section, there no longer available, email the guy who has em on ebay but no reply so i thought i might be fun to try and make one ..

i used the old pivot bolt a dolly seemed to be about the right shape.

Hmm not too bad she will need a little more work tomorrow and then ill weld her in and metal file her a little more .. ooh and a little bog no doubt
but on the whole im pleased with it .. only took 2 hrs ..

also tried my hand and slapper work ..
both front guards had little dents ..
got my self an old file from the markets $5 buck .. bent her and hey presto.. may be a little heavy .. lol

Nice work Dave,

Most of the time its easier to make your own repair panels. With the ones you buy, by the time you get them to fit you could have made it.

As a panel beater I make a good coffee :oops: , so photos like this give me inspiration to have a go at it myself.

Hey Guys been a while . .but im back to it
seem firefox and the password reset thing for this bbs dont like each other ..

well im up to the paint stage .. and blow me down after lots of humming she going to be Yellow Devil yellow to be exact ..

my kids say it looks like Mc Donalds yellow .. hmm seem to look similar another Famious FB/EK promise i didnt copy Mel think your was a &*#@ colour .. and i be wrapped if it turns out 1/2 a good as your girl ..

Hey Dave,

Its been a while since I've been on and I thought you would have finished the car by now :wink:

This is now the best part, putting paint on and bolting it all back together.

Nice colour choice, we all know this things look best in yellow :lol: :lol: :lol:

thanks Guy but been an out door project it get cold down here so have only done the odd job on for a few months but back into it now ..

Trev yeah sounds like a plan .. she should be cruzin well before Bendigo nats .. geez i hope .. lol
