Here's some pics if you can make them out

This one shows the slot that the cable goes into and i'm missing the lock screw as you can see. I don't use it.

Bit hard to see, But this shows where abouts on the lock mech that it should run through. Sorry but really hard to get a pic that is easily showing it located and my explaination leaves alot to be desired.

Not trying to be pedantic, but it seems the NZ EK's do not have them! I have had a sdean and wagon, both NZ new, and neither have the bonnet cable.SunnyTim wrote:Blacky - just a minor correction....They were standard in ALL EK's but an option on the FB.
This was after the magazines of the time (Modern Motor I think) published an article "Second thoughts on the FB" where they worked on the argument that the FB was in fact a regression on the previous FC as it lost a number of standard items (such as a bonnet lock)
In response GMH offered the bonnet cable as an accessory on the FB frm that point.
