How much should the tailshaft yoke sit out of the back of the gearbox(celica 5 speed)
regards fatboy
TAILSHAFT LENGTH
That would be 1" from and with the furthest extension length. I have seen shafts get made to order, only to have the owner lower the car and pop the plug out of the back of the yoke.
Cause in most cases when you lower the rear the theoretical shaft gets longer and the pinion angle increases, making the need for even a shorter shaft.

There's nothing as Sweet as a EK V8

well i've had a few tailshafts shortened and a custom length one made up etc and in all cases i was told to have the yoke approx 1 inch out from its most inward position not to be confused with 1 inch from the seal and the other part of this is to take the measurement with the diff right up in the tunnel where it would be when driving.
