i payed 500 for all bolt on pannels compleate striped and primed,, and i used orbital sanders and wire brushes on door jams ect and did the shell at home if you want to get the old glue / paint out of the door seal channels , i got mini wire wheels for my drill and they were great back to bare ,,,, but the jams take alot of work the roof is easy in comparison
when they start building them like that again i will buy a new car of them
Well i am off again after a bit of a lay off.
As i said i was going to get the shell sandblasted for about two grand.
During my layoff i thought about doing it myself with a bit of stripping and hard work i thought i could do it myself and save a bit of money.
Below are where i am up to....

Have more up to date photos but will have to load them as the shell is now all finished dash inside etc.have just primed the boot and about to start on the bonnet.hard work but a real money saver.

thanks Trev
As always i found rust in the floor and firewall (the common spots on an ek Trev) a couple of holes under the back window and two small ones on the bottom sills. All in all no dramas but the subframe is a different story.I have had to cut the battery box section out due to rust and am going to try and repair it with a mate who is a boilermaker but a s%$t of a job.I would love to pick another one up but chances are very slim i think.will keep you all posted.
Cheers

Hi Guys sorry about not keeping up to date with the build due to the fact of wife, kids and work. All the car and panels are stripped and etched primed.Took me about 2 months but saved a heap of $$$$.It took 8lites of stripper and aheap of wire wheels.New drivers floor has gone in and holes in the fire wall plated and welded. All the small rust holes will be brazed. Here are some up to date photos.
cheers Tony
