This has to be a nice and basic question, where is the location of the chassis number on the FB's is it on the drivers inner gurad.

Yep, just under the headlight wiring to main wiring junction on the inner guard about 4 inches down. Thats according to one of my EK's sitting in my garage.

and don't think they have to match the numbers on the firewall compliance plate because they don't - and never did new from factory.
