Well it has been along time between posts and unfortunately not alot has been completed.... work..money.....time the usual problems

Anyways the tray has been completed with a sound deading/rust protective coating of the tray supports in the process of finalising the idea for the polished boards in the middle

Focus turned to the engine bay with the decission to go with 2pac Gloss black for the bay with a gun metal grey for the block, brake cylinders and carbies. The bay was heavily degreased and the 46 years of dirt and grime removed and sprayed in primer ready to paint this weekend.

realistically painting of the body will be done in a few weeks so look out for some more pics

Currently in the process of tracking down the history of the ute will put a new post up once i start to compile the info

Nice colour-seen it somewhere before! But my tray is not as sweet as yours!

Go hard now then drive.I had a hard night last night and have given up working on the FE today because it's easier to see someone else progress than to do it myself.

Thanks guys progress is slow was going to spray in the trusty garage however due to cold weather might be opting to go a booth.... decisions decisions

Tuscany yellow is a very popular colour at the moment.... always wanted original colour so went with what was on the tags lol gotta love the yellow with the green interior (classic Aussie colours)

More pics this weekend with more progress...slowly but surely

After numerous weekends thinking the ute would be sprayed only to find another imperfection to stall the progress over and over again i decided to take 2 weeks off.....Well the painting of the body has finally been completed will be cut and polished by the weekend. Like the others that have sprayed Tuscany Yellow it is very difficult to get a true colour photo as it displays many shades of cream and yellow. Very happy with the result!!!!!

Tailgate to be finished by the weekend, Then its time to start to put the puzzle back together..... now where did i put those bolts????

Enjoy the pics :P :P
