Clay, if you want the intermittant to be faster, you just need to swap out the 100uF capacitor on the Maxtronic for a 47uF one. See my post https://www.fbekholden.com/forum/viewto ... 21#p274121. Its a 50 cent part from Jaycar and a 5 minute job with the soldering iron.

I found the Lenlock handles I got from Scott Millard a while ago, so why not throw them on the sedan. After all we aren’t leaving until the morning. I was short a couple of screws and ended up going down to Mitre 10 in the next town for some 30mm countersunk M7 wood screws finished in “brushed chrome”. Phillips head unfortunately.

Seeing I had driven all that way I thought I better check that the cook didn’t need anything at the shops. That is when I discovered phone she no work any more. The screen isn’t registering my finger at all, or anyone else’s for that matter. Great timing. They really have most of us over a barrel with these things. I managed to get to the shop with about 10 minutes to spare on a Sunday afternoon, hand over the equivalent of a fully installed FB Holden cruise control in cost, and come out with a shiny new phone, just in time for the big trip. Can’t use it of course because they want to use my old phone for MFA and I can’t remember my apple account password. Going to take several days to recover my account, which isn’t even fully backed up due to full storage. Hopefully I will get all my contacts back. I might take my old phone and see if it can be fixed along the way.

Anyway, handles look good and I’ll take a photo WHEN I GET MY PHONE WORKING!!!!!!!

Could have been worse, if it had of been my luck I would have found it after doing a timing gear half way across the Nullabor.

Safe travels for tomorrow mate.

Reading this I thought you were going to fit the handles with tek screws 😊 Mobile phones are great…… when they work.

Have a great time and safe travels
