Guard Rust Repair sections?
Hi all, where do I get guard rust replacement sections? The car needs top & bottom rear sections. Don't need the eyebrow sections oddly enough.
Rare Spares make them but I've heard somewhere recently (can't remember where now) that there is a backorder for them as they are waiting for new stock to arrive??, but try them anyway.
They do appear on evilbay from time to time, that is if you can find anything on there now since they changed the listing categories
Don't know of any other supplier but other forum members might.
Terry.

No, I definately DON't think thats stupid.Having NOS guards still never fitted to a car well after 40 years since they finished making them is a good talking point when sitting around the campfire I reckon!!
Once fitted, they aren't NOS anymore. You would probably be one of very few in the country to have some NOS FB guards still never used.
I have a bit of NOS parts here at home that I could use but won't unless as a last resort when I have some 2nd hand/reconditioned equivalent parts that although used, will still do nearly as good a job as NOS ones.
My thoughts, other's may differ,
Terry.

mrs ratbox
i shouldn't say this as the guy is as slow as a wet weekend and trying to deal with him is like pulling teeth, but today we went to a place where this guy picked up 2 EK sedans 1 FB sedan and an FC wagon with a pile of motors other spare guards doors subframes most of the guards are pretty good but they're EK guards i'll try my best to get a price
P.S. the EK bodies have the window sections and boot channell sections you need also
P.P.S. i may have ts start driving an FC wagon cause this thing he got has a couple of tiny spots of external rust with the most perfect patina and moss very good structurlly but needs 4 floor pans, have pics of all the cars just got to get the thing to get them out of the phone
