Hi Blacky I'm interested in this intermittent set up, does this go between the normal FB EK on/off switch? do you think I would be able to put it in between the on/off Hi/lo (two Speed) which is the lever on the VT column in Frank?

Its a universal jigger mate, will have a play with it this weekend but its basically just a timer and you run a signal wire out of it to your low speed wire or in the case of a stock wiper motor like mine, run from the switch through the timer and then to earth. Will post up more info once I open the thing up and have a play in the shed.

I might be able to work that out, being an electrical idiot, but I am keen to give it a go. Looks like I’m on to a belt driven aircon though so may get distracted with that. Thanks for the info mate.

For the price on Ebay mate I bought one anyway and as Clay said I can play and see if I can work it out with the dunnydoor wiper wiring in Frank

Well the intermittent wipers are in - pretty happy with how they turned out .


Wanted to keep the dash as uncluttered as possible so I thought I would use the unused choke cable hole - the cable broke years ago - the unit fitted in there neatly and I figured rather than use the knob that came with the kit I would have a go at making the choke cable knob fit the wiper switch

Drilled the guts out of the choke cable knob then broke the new knob to get the guts out of it

Used the brass splined bit - tapped it into the choke cable knob and Roberts your mothers brother

Fitted it all up and you wouldn’t know it was there


Finished the brakes off - new hoses and bled them up , need a wheel alignment seeing as I have changed the steering arms and tie rod ends- could probably get away with just setting the toe in

Then made a bracket to mount the cruise control pad next to the column- it clamps in between the dash and the handbrake handle

Blew a coat of paint over it and then blew the froth off a couple ….

Very neat, and a hell of a lot simpler than converting another wiper motor. Looks like a real winner for anyone needing to comply with the 2-speed wiper part of engineering.

Just give it as much positive caster and negative camber as you can, and it should be right.

This is a stock single speed wiper motor but the intermittent thingy will work with a 2 speed.
The only thing i need to be careful of is CEVA workers trying to pull the choke out to start it - that's what broke the original choke cable
