The section in the boot is definatly old repairs as the previous owner let me know that someone ran into the back of her and that is why she had the tow bar put on. Apparently they used to just bog everything up back then, i think i will get it removed and pushed back out.
The section on the headlight has definatly had either paint repairs or slight panel repairs at some stage.
I know that it does look like it has had repairs in the other sections but im not completly sure as i was talking to someone that was around in this era and they stated that the old undercoat was quite thick and this is what it looks like where the paint has come off? Also still has plastic on the inside of all doors. Maybe some one knows more about the type of undercoat the used to use?
It does have a little rust in the sections i have shown but the rest of the car is spotless, showing these pics just to get advice as to whether the paint was salvagable?
I appreciate the feed back and think that maybe the paint is to far gone so may have to stick to my original plan of getting her resprayed and all rust cut out.
Cheers
Richard

This is weird....
You have a car almost exactly the same as mine, you have the name Gordon either as your first name or surname and my surname is Gordon and your signature oldn62 was what my fiance had picked out for a number plate if i cant get the original plates back
What color is your car Gordon and what is the interior Combo? Mine is Argosy Turquoise with Snowcrest white Roof. Cant remember the trim code off the top of my head but i will track it down.
Thanks for the offer of help, im sure you will be hearing from me.
