It is staying as is Harv, though I did run a file around the cover gasket face for a better seal.

Thanks Rob. I can give it a bit more clearance at rhe pedal now m confident it is letting go before I hit the floor with the pedal.

I got a proper tachometer from one of the Torana boys, bit the bullet, and drilled a couple of big holes in the dash. Works like it should. The cheap one I had was jerky, then just stopped working.Image

On "8" you'll be struggling to reach 4000.

Nope, set the switch to "4" instead.

Finally changing the head over. Here are the plugs. No 1 to the right.ImageImage
I may have damaged some of the valve stem seals when fitting softer springs. Hopefully that accounts for some oiliness on no 2 particularly.
